QC System for Price Reduction

I am working in a QC organization. We inspect clothing and textile items. If thses samples do not fulfil (to some extent)our specification we accept it with some price reduction.My question is that whether there is internationally any inspection/ QC system whcih allow price reduction. May I get some details.Thanks

Many companies do the exact same thing. This practice is called degrading or reclassification of the product. As long as the customer agrees to the regrading then you are meeting the customer requirements.

There is no prescribed QA system that details how to handle degrading. You need to define it within your company. You may want to document this practice and create procedures / specifications for the the degraded item. How do you control it? How do you assure it doesn't get mix with non-degraded product? etc..
