Director of Quality Job Description
Within larger companies the Quality Director oversees all Quality Assurance efforts within that company. They may manage a couple of divisions which include Quality Managers and Quality Engineers. They set the QA policies and drive the divisions to meet customer requirements.
The Director of Quality Assurance establishes the quality goals and quality metrics for the company. They create the company’s quality strategic plans. They guide the company to meet those plans.
The Director of Quality job assures the company meets the customer needs. They monitor customer feedback and corrective actions, and make improvements to adjust the quality systems based on this feedback. They take a key part in customer meetings and present the quality roadmap.
The Director of Quality Control drives the supplier quality department. They determine, review and approve the supplier's quality roadmap. Quality Directors reviews supplier performance. The Director promotes and drives suppliers to meeting the company’s requirements.
Quality Assurance Director develops and executes the company's process control systems. They drive and monitor the implementation process of these systems. When monitoring they review reports and adjust the strategic plans to assure the process control meets customer requirements.
